The People Behind XogWine

Thank you for visiting our beloved wine blog. We hope you find everything you are looking for. If not, do not hesitate to shoot us a message. If we do not reply within 24 hours, it is probably because we are busy picking up a great bottle of vintage wine.

You being here means a great deal to us, because we always strive to provide good and helpful content to our readers.

Ken Gimson

Web Master

Ken is our webmaster/developer/WordPress/everything internet and website related guy. His taste in wine is notoriously bad. He tends to eat white fish with red wine. We are surprised he does not go as far as dipping the fish into the wine. Seriously!

Besides being outrageously bad at wine stuff, he is a super good human being and his help with our blog is much appreciated. When he is not busy picking the WRONG bottle of Chardonnay, he is usually freelancing away, spending quality time with his dog Roro, or playing volleyball.

Ema Richards

Ema is the person behind most written words on XogWine. She has an intrinsic love for writing and wine. Interestingly enough, she is really good at mixing both. As long as Rachel is there to edit her writing afterward. Just like back in college!

Ema is a Pinot Grigio type a gal in the summer and a Cabernet Sauvignon type a gal in the winter. Over the years she has developed quite the talent for telling exquisite and vintage wines from the rest. She has also attended and successfully completed a wine consulting diploma (yes, it is a thing), from the infamous school in Bordeaux, France.

Rachel Miller

Blogger/ Wine Lover

Rachel is our beloved editor and wine lover. She enjoys whatever wine Ema tells her to enjoy. She insisted we write that her taste in wine is better than Ken’s. We agreed, just because the bar is so low.

Rachel has a Master’s degree in Communications from the University of Wisconsin and spends most of her free time editing Ema’s writing. When she is not editing, or working away at her full-time marketing job, she is spending time with her family, going to the gym, or being a bum and binge-watching Netflix shows.
